Nicole Yunker is releasing her much anticipated second EP, “Christmas By The Fire.” After a successful first EP release in February 2021, Nicole aims to delight music lovers once again and wraps up 2021 with a positive listening experience. The EP features five newly arranged traditional Christmas tracks plus a special “Message of Hope” from Nicole to her fans. Now more than ever Nicole wants to connect with people using her classically trained voice to bring hope and joy during the holiday season.
The five Christmas tracks feature arrangements from Hollywood Music in Media Awards four-time nominee and pianist, Milana Zilnik from Ottawa, Canada. The Amazing Grace track features the talented Australian multi-instrumentalist, Haitch, playing Indigenous flutes from North America. Haitch looks to nature for inspiration and world cultures for instruments.
Nicole’s musical journey includes continuing to study with Mirusia, “The Angel of Australia.” It was Mirusia who convinced Nicole to realize her dream of recording EPs. Nicole has always performed for community events in the Parkland region of Manitoba and through her music is now connecting with music lovers worldwide.
This album was recorded during COVID-19 without in-person contact with any of the musicians. Nicole has learned that music has no limits and no boundaries and she greatly enjoyed collaborating with global artists like Milana Zilnik from Ottawa, Canada, along with Haitch from Australia. With Nicole’s EP, her voice soars as she sings her childhood favourite Christmas songs.
Nicole’s musical abilities are evolving and this is reflected in this album featuring various instruments and new renditions of songs we know and love. At 46, Nicole is also passionate about encouraging others to pursue their dreams at any age.
